This is a pretty bid deal for all the AT&T subscribers with Android phones out there. The Samsung Infuse 4G which is just about to hit the shelves will offer support for non-market Android apps. Up until now, AT&T has been reluctant to enable this feature on the devices in its Android lineup.
As you can see from the picture of our own testing unit, the highly coveted option is available but with a small catch. Check out the picture below:
We are not completely sure what to make of this message. Perhaps AT&T is suggesting that the warranty of the device will be void if any damage occurs from installing non-market apps?
It must also be pointed out that there is still over a week left before the sales of the Samsung Infuse 4G begin. This means that there is a slim chance that the retail version of the phone might not have this option available.
What do you think? Is access to non-market applications a must-have option on your Android device
